Glimmers of hope too for double A level size BTECs: the minister says the problem is with triples competing directly with T levels. Current policy is that double AAQs are not allowed in any subject where there is a T level. #protectstudentchoice

@Jacqui_Smith1 says, in response to many qs on the future of AGQs, that internal DfE modelling shows about 10% of students are suited to T levels. Looking forward to working with her to ensure the 'third way' of BTECs/other AGQs can continue to serve the 40% #protectstudentchoice
